Local Color Craft Fair

Hester Crown was in attendance at this year's Local Color Craft Fair, which was even bigger than last year's amazing event! There was an excellent turnout, amazing food from MIHO Gastrotruck (I got the grilled cheese), good music (Squeeze's Greatest Hits was played in its entirety, although we missed DJ Claire!), and tons of awesome vendors (including my wonderful pals Flo, of Florence Pacho Illustrations, and Tara, of Adorable Mayhem). The event was a fundraiser for the Museum School, a free public charter school in Banker's Hill, here in San Diego. Can't wait to see you all at next year's event!

Craft Fair Sunday 12.04.11!

I will be at the SoNo Park Holiday Fest this Sunday, December 4, 2011, from 11am-5pm, with both Hester Crown and our sister jewelry line, Laurasaurus Designs. The event is here in San Diego, on Thorn Street, between Herman and Bancroft. There is going to be a chili cook-off (yes, vegan chili is available!) and all kinds of amazing local crafts. Come out, show some support, drink some beer (they are going all out and will have craft beer from Pizza Port, Stone, Karl Strauss, Rock Bottom, Ballast Point, and my personal favorite, Green Flash) and wine, eat some chili, and listen to some live bands. And it's all for the kids! This event is a benefit for the art and music programs at McKinley Elementary School - so shopping can be guilt-free! :) Check out the Holiday Fest facebook page too!
